In the latest issue of Inside Networks, Redstone Converged Solutions' Roddy Adams responded to the magazine's recent article on IIM (Intelligent Infrastructure Management) and gave his insight on why it is a mission critical technology.
"A well designed and fully adopted IIM solution cannot fail to deliver real tangible benefits to any organisation that embraces the technology and uses it to make its day-to-day IT operations more effective and efficient," wrote Adams, in response to the June issue's Smart Thinking feature. "Every medium/large organisation has some kind of help desk/ticketing system to manage every type of change/incident request. Without it the organisation would be in chaos. Our philosophy for managing the cabling infrastructure is very much the same."
Adams cited benefits such as quicker deployment and minimising risk to the business as key reasons for IIM adoption, in what Editor Rob Shepherd said was a "compelling argument".
